The Space:
Welcome to Deer Run Lodge, your private retreat set on 12 scenic acres of woods, water, and open fields. As you arrive down the long, tree-lined driveway and cross your own private bridge, you’ll instantly feel the peace and privacy of this one-of-a-kind escape. Before entering the home check out our awesome entertainment complex in a separate building a few steps away featuring a half-court basketball court and mini pickleball court. Entertainment complex also features a theatre room, table tennis, and pool table.
Make your way to the house and step inside to a stylish entryway featuring a selfie mirror and rustic antler chandelier that sets the lodge’s warm, cabin-inspired tone. The main level offers an open layout perfect for gathering—soaring ceilings, an 85” TV, and a 10-person dining table surrounded by lush plants. The fully stocked kitchen includes a breakfast nook, pots, pans, utensils, plates, and both Keurig and drip coffee makers.
Through double doors, you’ll find the heated indoor pool, available year-round for fun and relaxation. Upstairs, a spiral staircase leads to a cozy lounge and arcade area with seating and an extra TV, ideal for late-night hangouts or family game time.
With five bedrooms and four full bathrooms, the home comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests. The primary suite features a king bed, en suite bathroom with jetted tub, and large closet. Additional bedrooms offer a mix of king, queen, and full beds—all thoughtfully styled for comfort and rest.
Step outside to a peaceful backyard oasis with a 12-person dining patio, gas grill, hot tub, and outdoor sauna for four. Follow the path to the firepit, perfect for s’mores under the stars. Two golf carts are available to explore the property’s trails, pond, and fields—great for a morning ride or sunset cruise.

A fun stay with some highlights and a few caveats depending on who you're traveling with.The kids (ages 5–10) absolutely loved it — the pool, game room, and garage kept them entertained the entire trip. For families with young children, those amenities alone make it worth it.For the adults, it was more of a mixed experience. The house is quirky and the bathrooms are noticeably outdated, which wasn't a dealbreaker but did affect the overall comfort level. The space has real potential and feels like it could be a standout property with some updates.One definite bright spot: the host was super responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.Overall, a solid choice for a kid-focused trip — just go in with realistic expectations on the adult amenities side.

Deer Run Lodge - Terre Haute, Indiana - FABULOUS. Our family of 8 adults spent two nights at the Deer Run Lodge. From the beautiful decor to the pool, hot tub, sauna and fire pit, we wish we would have stayed longer. As the mom and planner, I was 100% pleased with clean accommodations - quality beds, bedding, and furniture are a must. The grounds were beautiful with a bridge, creek and pond for great photos. Plus the location was serene but close enough to Terre Haute for grocery delivery and Door Dash. :) We were so happy with our stay, we are planning our next family getaways at other Terra2 locations.
