The Space:

Under the Velvet Sky by Tiny Away is a beautifully designed tiny house set on a certified organic working orchard in Dagun. Shaded by an incredible canopy of macadamia trees, a striking poinciana, and a seasonal jacaranda, it’s easy to access yet wonderfully secluded — calm, private, and deeply connected to nature.

Explore nearby highlights including the Mary River, the Mary Valley Rattler, Amamoor State Forest, and local horse riding, or simply stay in and soak up the stillness. You may also meet a few gentle locals on the property — sheep, and two friendly horses, Ted and Tim.

This 139-square-foot tiny home features a queen-sized bed for two adults, easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and a bathroom. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a house on the property that was affected by a previous fire. The tiny home remains private, and the surrounding area is still beautiful and peaceful. Guests may briefly notice the structure when arriving or leaving the property.

Guests have access to the tiny home and are welcome to walk around the property. The main Queenslander house is private and not accessible to visitors.

Nearby options include The Wild Vine Imbil for seasonal, locally-inspired dishes, Village Green Café in Amamoor for brunch, Rusty Rails Café at the Mary Valley Rattler, and Kandanga Pub for hearty pub meals.

For sightseeing, explore the Imbil Markets every Saturday morning, enjoy delicious donuts and refreshing swimming holes in Kenilworth, or visit Dingo Creek Winery for local wine and scenic views.

Getting Around:

By car:

- To use regular everyday transport (buses/trains you can catch any day), you usually need to go to a larger nearby town:

- Gympie (North or Central) — has regular Queensland Rail services on the North Coast line (to Brisbane and Sunshine Coast) and regional buses.

- Nambour — from here you can catch TransLink trains and buses; to get closer to Dagun you might take a train toward Gympie and then a taxi or ride share for the last part.

By public transport:

- In rural areas like Dagun, many people use taxis or ride-share services to connect with train stations or bus stops in Gympie or Nambour — especially if there’s no direct public bus route available.
