Our Cozy Arrowbear Cabin - 10 minutes to Snow Valley and Rim Nordic

Welcome to our cozy vacation cabin in the San Bernardino mountains!! This place is our family's favorite place to be when we want/need to get away from day-to-day city life, but we're ready to share it with others. Nestled in the very quaint and quiet Arrowbear community, next to Running Springs, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful views, miles of hiking and biking trails starting right across the street in the national forest, and restful evenings by the fire place! Arrowbear is half-way between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear (hence the name) - it's off the beaten path but still has many key amenities that make it an amazing mountain getaway or even residence!

The cabin is two stories. The upstairs is the main area of the home and has two bedrooms (one with a king bed, and one with a queen and a twin), a bathroom with a shower/bathtub, a kitchen, with a stove, microwave, oven, and basic cookware (no dishwasher), and mini fridge. The downstairs is like a mega-play room with a queen-sized bed and pull-out couch, a bathroom with a shower, an arcade and foosball table, and a full fridge and freezer and washer and dryer (in the downstairs "build-up"). Both floors have smart TVs. Worth noting: This home is nestled in nature and with that comes some occasional spiders, other bugs, and occasionally mice in the house. We keep our home very clean and do as much as we can to stay on top of it, but sometimes nature wins!

The cabin is an updated 1960s mountain home with some retained rustic elements, super comfy and new furniture, mid-century vibes, and beautiful views of the surrounding trees and forest. We have high-speed WiFi. We have a back (more private) and front balconies. Please note, the front balcony is still in its original condition and construction; beware of splinters and some hardware protruding from the front deck)!! Our property also sits on a 1/2 acre lot, with so much exploration, snow play, mud kitchen potential for families (kids can spend a whole day in the yard alone!).

We'll add that the location of the cabin is ideal for digital nomad life and remote work. We spend weeks at the cabin working remotely whenever possible.

If you are coming up during the magical snowy season, you may be required to have (carry in your car) and/or use tire chains. We have shovels you can use to clear the driveway or portion of the driveway to safely park your car if there is snow. If you’d like the driveway plowed, we can help arrange that but ask you to cover the cost (varies depending on the storm and how much snow).

Note: This is our very loved vacation home! We come here often! We’re excited to share this space with you but just want to note that the cabin is not set up like a full-time rental and will have some of our personal items in it.

A little about our neighborhood...
Arrowbear is a small mountain community near Running Springs, right between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. We are a short drive from the Snow Valley Ski Resort and Rim Nordic (cross-country skiing, mountain biking, etc.). Our home is across the street from the San Bernardino National Forest - you can walk out of our front door and hike for miles and miles without getting in a car.

Running Springs and Arrowbear have several small stores, a grocery store, and restaurants nearby but still gives you an isolated, quiet mountain retreat.

With the beautiful, remote mountain setting, we occasionally get planned and unplanned power outages due to weather. If you are scheduled to stay at our cabin during a planned outage (sometimes planned a day or 2 before they happen), we will let you know at or earliest opportunity and figure out the best path forward!
