About this villa rental
For a villa devoted to slowing the pace and escaping it all, few settings compare. Perched on a tranquil hillside above an olive-cloaked valley, Vasilikades gazes across the endless azure of the Ionian Sea, where sky and sea melt into one.
Elegant and stylish, this villa embodies the gentle pace of Kefalonian living - slow mornings, sun-soaked afternoons and evenings spent watching the sunset soften into shades of gold and rose.
On the ground floor, a bright open-plan living space flows into a generous terrace. Here, the pool seems to flow into the sea beyond, creating a serene setting for lazy days, beginning with a refreshing swim, followed by a leisurely lunch in the shade and ending with a glass of chilled wine as the sun dips behind the hills. This level also features a twin bedroom with direct access to the terrace, along with a separate bathroom.
Upstairs, two further bedrooms offer privacy and comfort, each with its own en-suite shower room and a private balcony, perfect for soaking in the far-reaching vista.
The friendly village of Vasilikades is just a short stroll away, where you’ll find a small shop (700m) and a couple of welcoming tavernas (500m) serving traditional dishes beneath vine-covered terraces.
Further afield, in one direction lies the picturesque harbour of Fiskardo (10.5km), known for its elegant waterfront restaurants, colourful buildings, and laid-back Ionian atmosphere. In the other, the enchanting village of Assos (11km), crowned by its Venetian fortress, offers a perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon outing. The scenic drive between the two winds through cypress-covered hills, revealing a breathtaking panorama at every turn.
Perfectly positioned for exploring northern Kefalonia, the villa is also within easy reach of some of the island’s most beautiful beaches, including Alaties (8km), Agia Jerusalem (8.5km), and Kamini (5.5km), where crystal-clear waters meet pale stone coves.
Peaceful, inviting, and ideally located, this villa is a haven for those seeking natural beauty, comfort and the relaxed rhythm of island life.
On street parking is available directly outside the villa. Being located next door to Anesis means Vasilikades could be a good choice for an extended family or a group of friends who can be near to each other whilst retaining their own individual space and privacy.
Please note: The Greek Government charge a Climate Tax which is payable by guests staying in hotels and other properties. For Vasilikades the charge is a flat rate of €15 (£13.04) per night. For your convenience we will add this amount to your booking, rather than you having to pay it in resort.
