About this apartment rental
My place is close to Moffat - which is equal distance between Alamosa and Salida. It is the launch pad to the fun things to do out here in the middle of no-where. IE: Great Sand Dunes, hot springs, Hooper pool, UFO park, alligator park, etc!, parks. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the people, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets).

Comfy queen bed, small dining&kitchenette w/ basic tableware, pots n’ pans. Each room has a coffee maker with organic coffee & sugar. We also provide creamer and tea. TV with Roku (Netflix provided) Organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash & hair dryer. Quiet, yet in town.
We are a tourist destination for the great hiking (all levels), as well as many spiritual retreat centers, peace, quiet and beauty. We can be a sleepy town with many smatterings of Fun. There are several hot springs 30-40 mins away, as well as the Great Sand Dunes, alligator park and UFO park.
There is no formal check-in. I give you the combination for the door to arrive on your own timing. Check-in 3:30 pm and check-out 10:30am. I am open to meeting all my guests needs/questions. However, unless they come to me - I give them total space, peace and quiet! Checking out is simple. All you do is leave ! If you have any questions or problems - please call or text.
The views are awesome in town, majestic and unique with the ever changing and beautiful lighting. We have a unique town - full of spiritual retreats and outrageous hiking for all levels. It is fairly quiet - yet we do have fun for such a sleepy little town. There is also horse riding a few miles away.
Town is a few blocks big - walking is the best public transport! While you can walk to anything in downtown Crestone this is a very remote area without public transportation so you do need a vehicle.
Crestone is one of the most beautiful places to be for hiking and spiritual adventures! There are many hikes with 14,000 ft peaks and for all levels. Also, the peaceful majestic beauty attracts folks from all over the world that come to attend one of the many retreats at the dozen or so spiritual centers. A few miles away are horse riding/stables. 30-45 minutes away are Joyful Journey Hot Springs - famous for it's healing waters. Also there is the most magnificent Valley View Hot Springs - focused outdoors with incredibly beautiful vistas. Valley View is clothing optional. Both offer massages. Responsive host with easy check-in. Excellent location for Hiking/Climbing in the Sangre De Cristo range. Willow Lake trail to Kit Carson and Challenger Point is only 5 mins, Cottonwood Creek trail head to Crestone Peak and Crestone needle is only 20 mins, and Little Bear/Blanca approximately 1.5 hours. Great location.

You couldn't get more in the center of the tiny town of Crestone than being able to step out the front door of this VRBO directly into the green grass of Crestone Park and walk directly across the street to the grocery store! Great spot if you want to be accessible to everything by foot. I didn't know I was arriving the weekend of the 35th annual Crestone Energy Fair occurring right out the front door of this VRBO unit. However, everyone was friendly, loving and celebratory as the music played into the night. I was surprised to find the coffee maker still had the used coffee grounds of the patron who stayed in this VRBO before I arrived, as well as dirt on the dishes stacked int he cupboard, i.e., bits of food stuck to the plates. Whoever "cleans" the unit clearly needs to check and clean the coffee maker as well as the dishes to make sure everything is actually clean from the last patron before the next person arrives. Other than that, the unit was clean - the bathroom and bedroom areas were clean. Again, this unit is easily accessible to everything right in the heart of lovely Crestone. Places that embody the values of love, peace, and community connection are increasingly rare in this world. What makes Crestone a special place on this planet! Sweet people. Good energy. Lovely weekend!

Large room with large bathroom. All amenities are top notch, from the organic coffee to the organic shampoo. Kitchen area is small but adequate. No microwave. Host is friendly and helpful but not at all obtrusive. I would definitely stay here again.
