H Avenue Andong is a budget hotel in a very convenient location, close to the bus stop, the market area and Culture Street. The room was quite basic and not very spacious, but it was clean and comfortable enough for sleeping.
There were, however, a couple of things we did not like. Breakfast is advertised as included, but it is extremely basic: packaged instant noodles, sliced bread kept in the refrigerator and coffee. There was no fruit, eggs or anything fresh. One morning there was also nobody downstairs, and several guests were waiting until we eventually had to go upstairs to find a staff member so the coffee machine could be refilled.
The other issue was the bathroom light. Several times, while one of us was showering, the light automatically switched off and the bathroom became completely dark. You then have to leave the bathroom and go back into the bedroom to turn it on again. Apart from being annoying, this feels unsafe when the floor is wet.
Overall, it is a clean, inexpensive place in a central location and perfectly adequate if you mainly need somewhere to sleep, but I would keep expectations modest.
