Situated on the banks of the Camel Estuary, the town is also ideal for water sports including waterskiing, canoeing and sailing, and is home to the Royal Cornwall Show, the Wadebridge Folk Festival, a beer festival and The Big Lunch. Padstow (8 miles) is known for its popular seafood restaurants and working harbour, with other local attractions including Pencarrow House and Garden, Trevose Golf and Country Club, the Bodmin Jail Attraction and Lanhydrock House and Garden, all within 11 miles.
