About this house rental
Large, detached half-timbered vacation home with a spacious garden, a sun terrace, located right on the edge of the forest with a magnificent panoramic view
The south-facing house offers spacious living quarters for up to 16 people (additional guests possible upon request) and is surrounded on all sides by more than 3,000 square meters of garden, which merges directly into the forest at its upper edge.
Here, you can set out on a hike right away or explore the nearby rocks. In the garden, you can use the house’s own lounge chairs to relax on the lawn.
A fire pit invites you to gather under the open sky in the evening. A large kettle grill is also available for use. Two swings with a panoramic view are a great treat—not just for children. Apple and plum trees provide shade, and their fruit can be harvested depending on the season.
The house is primarily heated with wood, so during the winter months, you should enjoy building a fire.
Please be prepared during the cold season (Nov–Feb) for the house to be a bit chilly at first (10–14 °C). It warms up quickly near the tiled stoves, but it takes a while for the entire house to warm up.
The living-dining area, which spans two levels, as well as a reading nook on the upper floor, invite you to relax together.
The bedrooms are spacious. For the young and the young at heart, our Alpine Club lodging in the attic offers the charm of a mountain hut in a dormitory-style room.
Rates become more affordable starting on the 4th night. Our main goal with this is to support family vacations.

Haus Himmelwärts:
Haus Himmelwärts is approximately 240 m² in size and can accommodate up to 16 people (please inquire about additional guests).
The first floor features a large, open-concept living-dining area on two levels with panoramic windows, two seating areas, two dining tables, two tiled stoves, and a fireplace (which must be heated with wood in the winter) and access to the sunny terrace, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a restroom, and a bedroom with two double beds and an en suite bathroom with a toilet and shower.
On the first floor, there are 4 bedrooms (1 room with a double bed, 2 rooms each with a single bed, one room with one double bed and one single bed), a cozy reading nook, a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and bathtub, and a separate toilet.
The attic houses our Alpine Club quarters, which can accommodate six guests in a dormitory-style sleeping area. In the second gable, there is another room for adventurers, as well as a sleeping area (accessible via a ladder) with a magnificent view.
We are happy to provide a baby crib free of charge.
The house is self-catering. Please note: We ask that you bring your own towels and bed linens.
A communal sauna is available in the basement for a fee (38 EUR/day). Please contact us before your arrival if you’d like to book the sauna.
