Equator Lodge & Campsite

Very friendly staff. Only 20 mij from Kasese and Kasese Airport. And 20 min from the Kazinga Channel. Very conveniently located in between. Spacious room with large bathroom. Very clean. Lovely vier over the lake from breakfast area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Oliver and the manager (I have forgotten his name)

We were genuinely surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay at Equator Lodge. We found it on Booking while looking for a place between Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Rwenzori Mountains, and it turned out to be the perfect base for exploring both. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed (even a hairdryer and shaver, which was a nice surprise!), and the food was really good. They also prepared an amazing takeaway breakfast with a delicious Rolex for our early Rwenzori hike, which we really appreciated. The location is super convenient—right by the main road, making it easy to reach game drives, boat trips, and the Rwenzori Mountains. Thank you to the whole Equator team for such a wonderful stay. We’d happily stay here again!

The only small thing we missed was a wardrobe or a few more places to hang clothes, but everything else was great.
