Hotel Palazzo di Valli

We chose Palazzo di Valli mainly because we needed a hotel close to the historical center of Siena that had private parking. The hotel exuded such charm on top of that, making our visit very pleasant. It’s a rather simple hotel, but our room was air conditioned, quiet, clean and spacious. One of the owners, Giacomo, was extremely gracious and helpful. We didn’t meet Lorenzo. The two had lovingly restored the hotel and seem to care alot about the comfort of their guests. The grounds, with a distant view onto Il Campo and the Duomo of Siena, are well kept and offer many places to sit and relax. The breakfast buffet was small but has everything one would want for a nutritious breakfast. There were even freshly baked cakes everyday. The only things lacking was a pool (not possible due to the proximity to the old town) and an EV charger (might be coming soon). The fifteen minute walk to the Porta Romana is pleasant and there’s a bus if you’d rather not walk. Palazzo di Valli is great value and we would highly recommend it!

We loved our stay at Palazzo di Valli and highly recommend it. The staff were very welcoming, kind, genuine and helpful, the bed was very comfy, the aircon was fabulous, the breakfast was delicious (we loved everything and were treated to very good soy milk cappuccinos) and of course the views were stunning. It was also a pleasant walk or a short bus ride to Siena centre (we did not have a car, travelling there by train and taxi instead). We loved Siena, it was truly beautiful and our visit to the Cathedral is something we will always remember and treasure - it was absolutely incredible - do not miss it!

Nothing at all - though we are sad we only stayed 2 nights (3 nights would have been better!)

This property is an amazing castle from 1700 I believe. The rooms are huge, with beautiful decorations and a big bed. It has gardens and a lovely courtyard where they serve breakfast.

The shower area is too small so, if you are a bigger person consider this.
