Betty's House - 3 bedroom in Coatbridge

We initially booked another 3-bedroom house a few streets away. A day after the booking, Betty's House appeared on Booking.com. We were able to cancel the other booking with full refund and book Betty's House. It was much better than what we were expecting. We've had some bad experiences with holiday accommodation previously. Betty's House was very well-presented with meticulous thought given to this. It was exceptionally clean and it was cosy and comfortable. The children loved it. The house seems to have been refurbished/redecorated recently. Almost everything in the house is clearly labeled and there is welcome pack awaiting you upon arrival. There were a few sachets and bags of complementary tea and coffee with biscuits, which is always a nice and inexpensive little gesture. The street is nice and quiet. The neighbours (families living there) were friendly and civilised folks. There is a Morrisons Daily about 1 minutes' drive from the house and an Asda superstore about a 6 minutes' drive away. Loch Lomond isn't too far from here.

By way of feedback, I would like to recommend the following improvements to the owner and management: 1. The kitchen tap needs to be repaired urgently. 2. It would be good to hang curtain nets (or similar) on all the windows. Some families prefer privacy from passers by and overlooking windows. 3. There is just one toilet with shower in it. This can be a challenge for a family of children. The bathroom/toilet door should have a latch or locking mechanism. Some families prefer guaranteed privacy when using the toilet or shower. We had to use a chair against the door. 4. There are 2 key safes outside the front door. It needs to be made clear to guests as to which of these holds the front door key. The one that obviously looks like a key holder doesn't open with the code and the one that does doesn't appear to be what it is. We struggled for a while. Apart from the above, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Betty's House and would highly recommend it to others. If we visit the area again, we may book our stay here. Thank you, Lisa and management.
