Ocean Dunes Retreat - Sauna & Spa

It’s an absolute privilege to stay in family bach’s in locations like this. So close to the beach for collecting shellfish and surf casting. We did a day trip up to the cape and sand dunes. You really need a good week here to explore the top of the north. Beds are supremely comfortable. Spa and sauna great after a big day.

What a treat it was to stay here! ! We loved everything about this place, its our kind of place to stay, the space for the kids to run around and play. The privacy, the peace and quiet. The amazing kitchen with all of the facilities and utensils required to cook big or small meals. The proper tank water is a big plus for us because this is what we're used to. The kitchen table and the weaving on the walls are just amazing. It was so tranquil. I had the most amazing sleep, with the waves rolling away in the background. Star gazing from the terraced roof and the most beautiful views of the Ngahere and the Moana! There's is a lovely walk onto the beach, opposite the accomodation, over the sand dunes. My husband collected pipis early this morning and we had fritters for breakfast. The sauna and spa pool are soooo relaxing. I lost count of how many times our twins used the spa. The upstairs space is also fantastic if you have kids, so spacious. Oh my goodness the beds! Gorgeous linen. They were so comfortable, soft and so big! If you need some time out, this is the place to go, its just awesome. The hosts were wonderful also, great communication with easy, clear directions. They made us feel so at home, checked in regularly to make sure we were ok and replied super quick if we had a query. This place is a 10/10. We will be back! What didn't we like? Absolutely nothing, except that we couldn't stay just one more night as we had to return to work!

The property was very tidy. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is well stacked with kitchen items.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this property. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Check-in was smooth and instructions were clear, which made arrival very easy. The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transport. We especially appreciated how comfortable and well-equipped the space was, making it feel like a home away from home. Communication with the host was also prompt and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to other travellers visiting Auckland.
