Charming Marigny 1BR Near Frenchmen Street

Great neighborhood. And the parking was great. Plenty of places to park for free which is a huge deal in NOLA. The pics don't do justice as to how large the space is. There's so much room to unwind. The bed is comfortable. Good hot water. The window units definitely keep the place very cool and work well. Full kitchen. Treats and coffee and drinks in the fridge. Loved having the balcony to sit out and have a cup of coffee in the morning and unwind at night. It was quiet. No other guests around ... secluded. It's a lovely space. It's not fancy like a grand hotel ... and shouldn't be. The place was built in 1911 and has that kind of old charm, which was great. That's what we wanted. It was such a bargain. It was about a 15 minute walk from the French Market. It felt very safe to walk around regardless of the hour. Can't say enough about how great it was. Most importantly ... Elvira was super easy to communicate with ... and very accommodating.

Second time staying here and won’t be my last. Fab host and location!!

Perfect place to park it for a few days during Jazzfest/NOLA exploring. Close enough to nightlife (Frenchman) and also far enough away from nightlife when you need quiet! Also far enough away from French Quarter so you don't really have to deal with that, but you can also walk there, or walk through there to get around. House was really nice, clean, quiet, big. Great coffee shop across the street. Beautiful, colorful houses everywhere. We had zero problems with anything and felt super safe and comfortable to whole time. Great host. Great spot. One note: I would recommend renting a car if you need to get around a lot, outside of the nearby walking locations. NOLA buses are not very convenient! Or rent bikes. getting anywhere further afield requires a lot of time and coordinating lines, etc. Not really worth it during a short visit.
