The host was very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated her thoughtful communication. Checking in and out was very easy, and we really loved the location of the duplex. It was just outside of downtown but close enough to everything we wanted to do. We were able to park on the street right in front of the duplex each night, and there are some great local restaurants nearby. We highly recommend Evangeline's!
Unfortunately, we were hit with the overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke as soon as we walked in the door, and it was noticeable throughout our stay. We encountered a few minor maintenance issues which we brought to the host's attention, and she indicated she would remedy those as quickly as possible. Honestly, the place could use a good deep clean (dusty fans, dirty doors, walls and area rugs), but the kitchen, bathrooms & bedrooms were all clean, and we appreciated the ample space to accommodate a family of 4.
