Dico Surf Point- Surf Lodge in Simeulue

Our flight back from Simeulue was canceled last minute, which left us looking for accommodation until the next flight. Dico's Surfpoint was very kind to take us in on such short notice. Within 30 minutes of messaging them, they picked us up from the airport, and within another 30 minutes, they even delivered us a scooter. Since we had already shipped our boards to Medan, the owner was very kind and lent us two of his boards for surfing. We also loved the food. We chose to eat indonesian food but they will adjust it to your preferences.

Our Stay at Dicos Surfpoint was the best we had in Indonesia. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were wonderfully cared for. The Food was exceptional and was prepared to our choice. We got to wake up to an Ocean view and enjoy the Ocean while we ate on the terrace. Our Motorbike and Surfboards were waiting for us when we arrived and we were shown around the island and the various surfspots by the kind and supportive staff. We had a great time and regularly went surfing together with the manager and the owners son. Rooms Our bungalow was very spacious and had everything you need. We especially loved our hot waterfall shower and our really comfortable bed. From the comfort of the hammocks on the balcony we could sit and watch the sunset with a beautiful ocean view every night. Things to do There are heaps of fun things to do on the island. We surfed at least once everyday, usually twice. Since there a many good surf spots for smaller swells we might even come back in the off-season. If you want to do other activities such as snorkeling, speer fishing or exploring waterfalls, manager Robi is happy to help you organize these activities for you. Food The food is top notch. We were served warm meals with delicious fresh food 3 times a day. Chef cook Romy makes the best food and freshly baked desert. If you have any special needs when it comes to food requirements, he will adjust the meal plan for you. Savety Dico Sur Point is super safe. Since there is staff at the gated resort around the clock, you do not need to worry about your valuables or even lock your house although you can still do so. Many of the Surfspots around the island have good and safe parking spots as well. Highlights Homestay We absolutely loved our time here. Manager Robi and his team helped us with everything. Everything we needed help with, Robi helped us to organize. They staff are truly lovely people and made as feel at home.
