We loved the remote tranquil location of this farm/hotel. We had loads of fruits and lovely breakfast and home made dinners. We experienced the coconut harvesting and had fantastic fresh coconuts. Aji style is modern/traditional which reflects the space, buildings and furniture he designed. He was very kind, attentive and very helpful host. This place is highly recommended!

we Love this place so much! we stayed here during a 3 day cycle tour from Ella to tangalle and this place made the most amazing stay. it's set on a beautiful lake really close to Udawalawe national park. we saw elephants while cycling past the national park which was incredible and most will agree that Udawalawe is on of the least touristy places to see wildlife in Sri Lanka. the accommodation - WOW! It was stunning! set in a Mango farm with beautiful palm trees, lakeside lodges and stunning spots to have lunch/dinner. the decor of the cottage is incredibly stylish! it has a gorgeous bathroom with open roof shower so you have privacy and luxury while showering under a canopy of palm trees. I've been struggling with back issues which has meant issues sleeping and had the best night's sleep at Aji's since I've been in Sri Lanka. the cottage had it's own big balcony overlooking the lake which made a perfect spot for reading my book. the glass doors meant we could leave our curtains open and watch some of the sunrise from bed before going back to sleep again. when we arrived, Aji cooked us lunch and it was honestly my favourite meal since coming to Sri Lanka (and I've loved all the food we've had). it was so fresh and delicious. we also had dinner and breakfast there which was yummy too. Aji has canoes to rent which can be taken out onto the lake and provides lifejackets with them. we loved going out for a paddle at sunset and enjoying the surrounding nature. there were incredible animals here. we saw gorgeous birds and butterflies, monkeys, as well as both monitor lizards and water monitor lizard which was so impressive to watch. the accommodation is remote and peaceful but only a short drive or cycle from the nearest town. I noticed that there was also a desk/table on the balcony and a plug socket too, so it would make a brilliant spot to remote work or working on your thesis/dissertation for studies.

nothing. it was perfect. it really felt like tranquil paradise staying here. I hope to come back in the future and spend a few days here relaxing and reading.
