Escape to the Country

It was pretty much what we expected, very quiet and a real treat. easy access to walks as there is a public foot path opposite. Great countryside

we were fortunate our car (Mercedes C Class) had decent ground clearance however the lane access, it expected it to be slightly challenging was actually quite difficult to negotiate. If your car is low like a sports car this is not an accommodation for you, some of the ruts are pretty deep. I guess this is a public footpath and bridle path and therefore the local owners are unable to deal with it but a friendly farmer would probably easily flatten it a bit. May be a challenge in hard rain as it is steep in parts. But we really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Beautiful location, friendly host and perfect spot to get away and be surrounded by bird song :)

Peace and quiet in the middle of the countryside, lovely location for walks and just a short drive to local shops and places to eat. Interesting places nearby to visit. Accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed, we had everything we needed.

The track down to the place is very rough and bumpy but not sure anything could be done about this as is a Bridle path, just don't go in a sports car!
