A beautiful, grandiose villa with sprawling manicured gardens. A totally charming experience in a quintessentially Provencal region. The merchants in the local village of St Etienne-du-Gras were extremely welcoming and we were diligently cared for by Magali from Emile Garcin Properties. I would go back and do it all over again in a heartbeat ... Vive la France!!

If you are looking for a fairy tale come true, stay at the Authentic Bastide… Spacious bedrooms with updated private bathrooms in each chamber. The property itself was like a small village with manicured gardens, fountains, statues, pool and tennis courts. Natalie, the property manager was delightful and Magali took care of every detail. We can’t wait to return!

My first time in the south of France and I took a chance on a villa to celebrate my 60th birthday. The listing looked enticing but the property, upon arriving, exceeded our expectations. Truly a wonderful experience and kudos to Magali for such impeccable hospitality. I would highly recommend to a group who enjoys the best of the Provençal experience.

We just left this beautiful property that more than accommodated our family of 14, with ages ranging from 7 to early 80s. The property itself is well-appointed, clean and well-kept. The gardens are gorgeous and kept some family members busy for hours, strolling and exploring. It was too cold for the pool but I imagine the pool is beautiful in season. You can also walk out back and go on a hike through many available trails in the Alpilles. We did make use of the Tenno courts and it was convenient and fun for everyone. As for the kitchen, we had a chef come one night and spent many morning breakfasts and evenings around the table. The kitchen had everything we needed. The two dishwashers helped a lot. All appliances and pans we needed were available as well - and many serving dishes and utensils as well. Regarding the bedrooms, we all slept very well. The rooms are spacious and modern and we were all very comfortable with 2 per room. There is one bedroom on the main floor, which is nice. My in-laws chose to stay there, as they are older and did not feel comfortable with the stone staircase. I will say this ground floor room was the only smaller bed (full size v. Queen as in the other rooms).the bathrooms were also modern, clean and very nice. Magali was amazing to communicate with and because we spent Christmas there, she was so kind and had a Christmas tree arranged for the family before we arrived. The home also had plenty of firewood, tennis racquets, blankets, and other accommodations. Lastly, Nathalie is the home care taker and she was lovely. She came each day and spent time with the bedrooms and kitchen. She was extremely helpful with any questions any time of day and she was very kind too. We had a really memorable visit and will think fondly of our time at this property.
