Diamond of Bodrum Hotel

I recently stayed at Diamond of Bodrum, and it was a genuinely pleasant experience. The hotel has a special charm with its beautiful location and relaxing vibe, but what stood out the most was the amazing service. I want to extend a special thank you to Mujahet for his outstanding hospitality. He was truly exceptional—always helpful, professional, and made sure everything was perfect during my stay. If you’re planning a trip to Bodrum and looking for a place where you’ll be well taken care of, I highly recommend Diamond of Bodrum. Thank you again to Mujahet and the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable!

Very nice place, close to the city centre.

We stayed here for 5 nights during July, 2024. I did not that it was an all inclusive resort so we upgraded for a reasonable price for two. This included all drinks, at least 3 meals a day! And snacks here and there. Multiple bars on multiple levels. Food was good so, mostly, the service. Unfortunately the biggest drawback for us was the lack of air conditioning. Oh believe me there was central air, it just wasn’t cold. My partner, an early riser(5ish), would go and sit outside as it was cooler than in our room. I asked about it multiple times, but was always told it was the temperature that the hotel was using. At first I thought they were just giving me the runaround. Then I booked for a full boy oil massage. OH MY WORD! The masseuse, from Bali, was amazing. I, however, have never enjoyed a massage less. The temperature was unbearable as it was never cool enough. I have to say that I even felt sorry for the staff working indoors. They all always looked a little tired and limp. I’m not blaming them at all is the working conditions were not ideal. Kudos to the ones that smiled a little at least, as it must’ve taken everything to be somewhat polite.

**If you are looking for a clean hotel with respectful staff and basic hospitality, please avoid this hotel. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.** **Room** We were not given the room category we had booked at check-in. We were told that the category was “full” and that we would be transferred to our originally booked room the following day. The room we were given was supposedly “newly renovated,” as the staff described it, but it was extremely small and dirty. There were ants in the room, the shower pressure was extremely low, and there were hair and stains throughout the bathroom. The hallway leading to our room was also being used to store furniture and other items, which made the entire experience feel more like a poorly managed storage facility than a hotel. **Breakfast** The breakfast was extremely basic and, more importantly, unhygienic. It honestly felt more like a food-bank-style setup than a hotel breakfast. To make matters worse, we witnessed staff standing around watching Instagram reels while serving and eating the same food. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel. **Staff** The two ladies working at the front desk were unbelievably rude and completely lacking in basic customer service. We were actually joking between ourselves about which of the two was more rude. We asked for an iron for the room and were rudely told that the hotel does not provide irons. Instead, we were offered the option of having a simple linen shirt ironed for €5. Apparently, this service is only available until 5 PM—so if you plan on going out for a nice dinner, make sure you bring your own iron. We had booked two nights but could barely manage to stay for one. The blanket provided to us was visibly dirty, and when we requested a replacement, our request was denied because, according to the staff, we had apparently asked too late. We ultimately checked out after the first night because the experience was simply unbearable. We requested a refund for the unused second night, which was also harshly denied. To make matters worse, no assistance was provided with our luggage when we checked out. **“Private beach”** Do not be misled when this hotel advertises a “private beach.” It is a public beach. The hotel’s access is through what can only be described as a dingy, dark tunnel—something straight out of a Batman movie—with rats and water dripping from the ceiling. And somehow, this is what they proudly present as access to their “private” beach. Absolutely ridiculous. **Overall:** From the dirty room and unhygienic breakfast to the extremely rude staff, poor service, misleading beach description, and complete lack of customer care, this hotel failed on every level. I have stayed in many hotels around the world, and this was **by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had**. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration, disappointment, and money. **Good luck to anyone who decides to book this hotel—you’ll need it** There are better hotels available for this price, don’t get carried away with the all inclusive tag. A bad hotel can ruin your vacation. PS - not a bad experience rant, just an honest review to help other travellers.
