Many guests comment on how well they sleep here—and how quickly they settle in.

Meals tend to linger on the spacious verandah, where the teak dining table invites you to stay a little longer and listen to the sounds of nature. In winter, the fully enclosed porch becomes a favorite spot—cozy, quiet, and surrounded by forest views. The main living area is ideal for reading, puzzles, or unwinding with a movie after the day winds down.

The cabin balances togetherness and breathing room. Guests of all ages enjoy the brand-new, full-size four-player arcade with over 4,500 classic games, often turning “just one game” into an hour of laughter. When you’re ready to venture out, you’re close to gem mining, waterfalls, and some of the region’s most highly rated hiking trails. Downtown Highlands, known for its excellent dining and charming shops, is just 11 miles away (about 20 minutes, or longer for those new to winding mountain roads), located along North Carolina’s Scenic Waterfall Byway—famous for the hundreds of waterfalls throughout the area. Downtown Franklin is only 13 minutes away.
