I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Aegeo Hotel on the beautiful island of Folegandros. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome they greeted me with a refreshing welcome drink, picked me up at the port, and even provided a helpful map of the island that they personally went through so I new everything I needed to know about the island. Their exceptional hospitality truly made my trip memorable.
The hotel itself is charming and cozy, with a quaint, inviting atmosphere. My room was delightful, featuring a comfy charming bed with a stunning view of the local church up on the hill and a lovely little patio where I enjoyed my morning coffee while overlooking the water and the town below. The scenic walk down to the town took only about 2 to 3 minutes, which was perfect for me! I love staying a little out of the busy center for some extra peace and privacy. The bathroom was painted a weird green colour which I would change but didn’t affect my stay. Oh and my fav part was is had a beautiful breeze that swept through the room day and night so not once did I have to turn on the AC.
While the hotel didn’t have a pool, that was not a concern since I was planning to enjoy the ocean anyway. The room also had a small kitchen, offering the flexibility to buy local food and dine in if I wished, which was a nice bonus.
The town of Folegandros is fantastic full of charm, with plenty of beautiful spots to explore and enjoy local cuisine. Overall, everything about this place exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend Aegeo Hotel for anyone looking to experience the authentic beauty and tranquility of this amazing island. It’s a perfect spot for relaxation and adventure alike.
