About this apartment rental
I'm Rosarinho Cruz, I paint and create jewellery. It’s with great joy that I invite you to discover my Atelier by the Sea, where I breathe in the ocean, see the changing blues, and am lulled by the waves as I create like there’s no tomorrow. With pieces chosen “close to my heart,” I shaped a personal haven that inspires me and brings deep peace. When I travel, I open its doors to kindred spirits, hoping this little corner awakens something special in you and brings the same joy it brings me.
It’s such a joy to share this very special little corner with you, even though I’m away. This duplex is my refuge where the quiet of the sea embraces the energy of art, a place where I feel inspired and comfortable, truly at home.
When I’m here, I love to sit on the velvet sofa, surrounded by pieces I’ve carefully chosen, each bringing personality and a touch of my artistic soul. The painting table is always there, a silent invitation to creativity, even when I’m not painting.
The small bedroom on the ground floor is my intimate hideaway, a windowless room that invites peaceful rest, a warm and cozy space for those who appreciate silence and serenity, and it’s entirely decorated with watercolours painted by me.
Up on the mezzanine, the main bedroom opens up in light and softness, with architectural lines that flow gently. The queen-size bed is the perfect invitation for deep sleep, and the traditional European crib, with neoclassical details, is a little decorative treasure that fills me with tenderness.
This bedroom is open to the rest of the duplex, with no doors or full walls. I love this fluidity, this feeling of open space that connects everything harmoniously. Please note that some areas have lower ceilings, which add a cozy touch.
The bathroom is vibrant and joyful, with red tiles that echo the colorful kitchen, where the sea-green chairs and blue ceramics always make me smile. The rainfall shower is a small luxury I adore, perfect for relaxing after a day by the sea.
The kitchen is compact but full of life. It’s my little spot to calmly prepare meals, surrounded by the vibrant colors that inspire me so much. It’s fully equipped with everything I need to cook, making every moment there simple and pleasurable.
Foz do Douro is the neighborhood where this atelier breathes. A calm, charming place where the nearby beach always makes me feel renewed. The restaurants and shops nearby are perfect for discovering the best Porto has to offer, and public transport makes exploring the city easy.
A small note from me: the apartment is split over two floors connected by stairs, and reaching the building also requires climbing a few steps - for me, every step is part of the experience, an introduction to the charm of this place.

I want to share a few things to help you feel comfortable and know what to expect during your stay at my place:
•The apartment is self-catered, and I’ll have some basic essentials waiting for you when you arrive - like toiletries for the first day and toilet paper. These are just a welcome gift, so please note we don’t provide refills during your stay.
•Bed and bath linens are provided for the number of guests on your reservation. If you stay longer than 7 nights, fresh linens will be ready for you at check-in, at no extra cost.
•The cleaning fee covers only the final clean after you leave. If you’d like extra cleaning or fresh linens during your stay, just let us know at least 24 hours ahead (there’s a small additional charge for that).
•Check-in is between 15:00 and 22:00. If you arrive later than 22:00, there’s a €25 fee. You’ll receive one set of keys.
•Portuguese law requires us to collect your passport details when you check in.
•Check-out is by 11:00. Before you leave, please leave the keys on the main table.
•Please take care of the keys during your stay. Don’t leave them in the lock or mailbox. If you lose them or if they get damaged, or if a technician is needed to open the door, any costs will be your responsibility.
•If you’re traveling with little ones, I have a crib and baby chair available upon request (there’s a small extra fee).
•For stays of 28 days or more, if monthly utility bills go over €150, the extra amount will be charged separately.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT.:
- Please confirm your check-in time as soon as possible so we can arrange everything specially for you.
- Flexible check-in and check-out are available upon request, but only if the property is available. These requests must be done in advance.
- Late Check-In Fee.: 25€ after 22h00.
- Late Check-Out Fee.: Possible if the property is available, but it’s subject to a payment of a 25€ fee.
- Early Check-In Fee.: Possible if the property is available, but it’s subject to a payment of a 25€ fee.
CLEANING and LAUNDRY.:
- Bedding Sets and Towels are provided according with the number of guests.
- The Cleaning Fee covers the check-in/check-out cleaning only.
- For longer stays it's possible to arrange extra cleanings (with an additional cost).
- For stays longer than 7 nights, extra linen will be provided.
- The apartment is always cleaned by a professional cleaning service. If there's something that doesn't meet your standards, please contact us.
OTHER RULES.:
- Make sure you are up-to-date on travel restrictions/requirements. We may ask for additional documentation according to government guidelines.
- Children’s High Chair is available by request (extra cost of 10€). There's a crib/baby bed available in the property, however, linens are not included.
- The silent period in Portugal is between 22h00 and 08h00, and night rest period must be respected. The apartment is in a residential area and you should be aware that social events and other activities that might disturb the neighbors are prohibited.
- As a city in continuous modernization, renovation works may occur in the vicinity of the building without prior notice. We would also like to remind you that the property is located in a residential building, where conservation or renovation works may take place during your stay.
