Toscolano and Maderno, once known as fishing villages and home to historic paper mills, overlook two large bays that offer a true paradise for lovers of sailing, fishing and water activities. The surrounding area also offers beautiful routes for walks between hills and mountain paths. In Maderno there is a large and well-equipped lido, a reference point for events and summer initiatives: in the wide green area of the former Horse Field, regattas, tournaments and evenings with music and dancing come to life.
Toscolano, on the other hand, is renowned for its large campsites overlooking the beach and for its characteristic Thursday market, where it is possible to discover and taste local products, including Garda PDO Oil and local wines. A must-see is the Museum of Paper, set in the evocative Paper Mill Valley: a place where culture, history and nature come together in a single memorable excursion.
The nearest airport is Verona, 1 hour and 15 minutes away by car.
