Situated in the historic village of West Witton, this sweet stone-built cottage makes a delightful getaway for couples, families and friends looking for a welcoming retreat along the eastern outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales. Offering warm, relaxing accommodation for up to six guests, the property has been charmingly furnished and decorated in soothing neutral tones. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this airy holiday home is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers exploring the woodlands, villages and dales of this captivating part of Yorkshire.
Entering this bright, cheery cottage, a welcoming hallway leads you through to the light-filled lounge. With a TV, plenty of seating and an open fire set in a handsome surround, the delightful lounge is perfect for getting together to watch a movie or chat about the day. The dining area is perfect for sharing family feasts which you can rustle up on the fully equipped kitchen which has a handy breakfast bar. Going upstairs, the first floor features a refreshing bathroom and three cheerful bedrooms: a pretty twin, a cosy bunk room for children, and a spacious double with a dressing table and en-suite shower room. Stepping outside, there’s a lovely courtyard with garden furniture, offering a relaxing space to settle back and enjoy a drink or a meal on a sunny summer’s evening.
West Witton is a friendly Yorkshire village with a pub and shops, and is ideally situated with the market towns of Leyburn to the east (4 miles) and Hawes to the west (12.5 miles). This beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales offers miles of spellbinding walks and cycle trails, and is home to a range of popular attractions including the remains of Richard III’s Middleham Castle, the Wensley Waterfall, The Forbidden Corner, Jervaulx Abbey and Bolton Castle, all within 9 miles.
