The El Salto Log Home, Taos, New Mexico is nestled in a most private setting in the wooded pines in prestigious El Salto. An upscale custom designed and built solid cedar log home offers vacation and sleeping flexibility by renting it along with the optional guest house and the former caretaker cabin.
The large open great room with gourmet kitchen means the chef is never lonely as guests have the opportunity to offer culinary advice or have ample room to spread out and commune with the rest of the party. The huge two story river rock fireplace is central to the fabulous ambiance of this amazing home. Of course, firewood is provided.
The King master bedroom has awesome sunset views of the Jemez mountains and a large master bathroom with separate tub, stall shower and double sinks. The twin bedroom has its' own private bathroom and the Queen bedroom has its' own bathroom unless guests occupy the Loft . Loft guests also have the option of using the half bath downstairs during the night.
Located at the end of the line there is no through traffic ensuring absolute serenity and quiet in this rare find Taos luxury vacation rental ski cabin or summer log home.

The cabin is lovely. We rented 2 of the 3 cabins for our family of 9. The cabins are very close together and excellent for larger groups. The main cabin has a beautiful open room. We were the first renters since the winter season, so we experienced a few issues, but the property manager and local contact did help us out. Overall our family had a lovely time together and clocked in some great memories.

The house was perfect for the 5 of us--very open and roomy but with private spaces. Views from open concept living and kitchen were breathtaking. Working with Premiere and Hannah the caretaker was seamless.

We had a really good time in Arroyo Seco at the El Salto Log Home. The house is very nice and we loved the village of Seco. Jackie, was very helpful and a joy to work with. The only problem/concern we had was that the home was not maintained very well. It was OK to stay there for a few days, but I think few people would want to stay longer or live there due to the dirt and neglect. Things like missing/burned out light blubs, dirty oven, dirty floors and floor vents, heavy dust on dried flower arrangements, ceilings and logs, broken dryer, etc. None of this kept us from having a wonderful time at the home so this is just FYI.
