Hi,
As soon as we saw the “Friesenkate” and the growing town, we knew this would be a great vacation spot.
Our house has two modern bedrooms, each equipped with two comfortable beds (2 x 2 meters), a spacious two-door closet, and a wall-mounted TV. The “morning sun” can be blocked out using “pleated blinds” (located on the window). Furthermore, the spacious bathroom (facing south), featuring a bathtub, shower stall, sauna, and two sinks, is accessible via the hallway. The guest restroom and the entryway with its “white front door” (facing north) are also located here. Note: The main ventilation windows are equipped with fly screens (mosquito protection), allowing for ventilation without letting in uninvited guests.
Our “walk-in” living room offers access to the terrace via two exits, has a south-facing window, and is open to the ceiling. This creates (in our opinion) a “sense of freedom.” This is underscored and highlighted by the bright and welcoming atmosphere, as well as the well-designed layout and practicality of the space.
From the cozy corner sofa, let your gaze wander out to the garden or relax in front of the modern smart TV. Our living room, designed with a “seaside” theme, features not only a cozy lounge area but also a dining table that seats six, a fireplace, and a fully equipped, sleek kitchen. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, a microwave, an electric oven, a dishwasher, and a range hood. A staircase in the hallway leads up to the balcony. This space is available for playing, simply lounging, or focusing. It rounds out our “indoor offerings.”
A “Danish-style” fireplace has been installed to provide a “cozy feeling on cold days.” It can/may/should be used, and a supply of firewood, kindling, fire starters, etc., is provided by our local department store.
The west-facing terrace offers a variety of uses. You can sunbathe (please bring your own sunscreen) in the lounge chairs, on the daybed, or in the beach chair. Our garden is well-maintained, fenced, and natural, and features a sandbox as well as secluded areas.
Our “driveway” is spacious, easily accessible, and “modern,” featuring an electric vehicle charging station. There is also a bike shed here with a charging station for e-bikes. These can be parked, plugged in, and charged (overnight) here.
Barbecues are permitted, but proper disposal of food scraps, trash, or hazardous waste is essential to preserve and protect the environment, public health, and resources through recycling.
… Well then, we wish you a restful and relaxing vacation.
The Anja and Jens Johannsen family, Klanxbüll
