An exclusive, wheelchair-accessible vacation rental awarded 5 stars and the Rolliplus certification—the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself!
Our Hus Strungud, featuring 2 apartments, is located on Strandstraße in Wyk. As the name Strungud (beach find) suggests, these accommodations are true gems. The owners have put a great deal of love and dedication into creating apartments that meet even the most discerning needs. The ground-floor apartment was built to be wheelchair-accessible, and the upstairs apartment is designed for small families as well as large families of up to 8 guests. The property features a large covered area for bicycles, wheelchairs, or even handcarts, as well as two parking spaces. Strandstraße is located on the outskirts of Wyk, allowing you to quickly reach both the town center and destinations in the countryside. With the renovation (2017), the owners fulfilled a long-held dream: a stunningly beautiful home, with the ground-floor apartment specifically designed to meet the needs of wheelchair users. Special attention was paid to the height of the window handles and light switches, as well as the width of the doors. You can access the home via a wide driveway with an electric gate opener. The living and dining area has been lovingly and practically designed, with an emphasis on maximum comfort. The real gem is the open, fully equipped, and wheelchair-accessible kitchen, which features a height-adjustable countertop that makes it easy to use for both wheelchair users and their guests. The bedroom with an attached bathroom has also been thoughtfully designed for practicality and charm, featuring an electrically adjustable bed (with anti-bedsore mattresses), a modern walk-in shower with seating, and thoughtful touches that leave nothing to be desired. The apartment also includes a second small bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink, a second bedroom (neither room is wheelchair-accessible!), and a large terrace with a garden. The perfect place for a wonderful vacation!
Assistance dogs are permitted. Please note that ONLY assistance dogs—as four-legged helpers for people with disabilities—are allowed, as special cleaning will be required afterward. Thank you very much!
