A warm welcome to our thatched cottage, “barfuss IN ZIEROW.”
Home is where you can stroll barefoot through the house and let your mind wander. We, the Rüger family, have been enamored with this beautiful spot by the sea for years and truly enjoy spending our vacations on the Mecklenburg coast of the Baltic Sea. Now we’ve fulfilled a long-held dream and created our own little home with a view of the sea.
Since, as we all know, happiness is best when shared, we invite you to enjoy a relaxing time on the Baltic Sea and leave the stress of everyday life behind. The vacation home offers everything you need to feel right at home during your vacation after a long, eventful day. Whether it’s walking barefoot on the sandy beach in the summer or sitting barefoot in front of the fireplace in the winter.
Our house has two bedrooms and a large bathroom with a bat-wing dormer and natural light on the upper floor. One of the rooms has a large, cozy double bed, plenty of storage space for clothes and personal items, and a balcony overlooking the Baltic Sea. Here, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and wind down at the end of the day. If you’d like to be woken up by the morning sun, the second bedroom is the perfect choice. It features two single beds and a pull-out sofa bed for two people. Families with up to four children can make themselves comfortable here.
The first floor is the heart of the house. From a large kitchenette and a romantic sofa nook in front of the fireplace to a large dining table for six people, everything your heart desires is at your disposal. Whether it’s cooking together, playing board games (we’ve provided a selection of our own favorites), or simply enjoying a glass of wine by the fireplace—everything that makes us happy is meant to make you happy, too. To ensure your feet stay warm even in winter and you don’t get cold, underfloor heating is installed throughout the house. In the utility room, you’ll find a washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, iron, and more. Additionally, on the first floor, there’s a guest restroom with natural light, as well as a small “wellness area” featuring a sauna and rain shower.
Outside, we have a large terrace with seating and a view of the adjacent field stretching toward the sea. The house is located on the edge of the neighborhood, so you can let your gaze wander into the distance undisturbed. The garden surrounding the house is perfect for activities or simply for relaxing. For our barbecue enthusiasts, there’s also a designated barbecue area with a grill. From here, you can set out on wonderful walks to the ocean or bike rides through the surrounding area. Two bicycles and a bike trailer are available for you in the garden shed; feel free to use them to explore the area. If you’re traveling by electric car, you can recharge your vehicle at the on-site wall box. Our four-legged friends are also welcome by arrangement. Bedding and towels are included in the rental and can be washed at 60°.
Of course, we also have Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and induction cooktop, various kitchen appliances, and a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment. There are parking spaces for two cars in front of the house.
