About this house rental
Ashwood AFrame is an exclusive luxe cabin set on 45 acres on the banks of Macdonald River. Just a 2.5hr drive from Sydney, this uniquely designed retreat blends cabin vibes with modern comfort.
Enjoy breathtaking views, a private beach, luxury baths (including one outdoors!), an outdoor firepit and 5-star bedding comfort. Stargaze, unplug, and reconnect with nature in total privacy. The ideal escape where secluded riverfront, sandy beaches & native wildlife meet luxe interiors, and time slows to nature’s rhythm.

- Oversized loft master bedroom with a king sized bed and sweeping views both inside and out
- Downstairs bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed and great natural light

🌲 Outdoors
- Set on a secluded property of 45 acres with a private beach. Direct access to the Macdonald River, perfect for fishing, swimming, wildlife spotting and exploring down the river bend (Full disclosure that currently, with the minimal rain that has come through the area, the water levels right in front of the Aframe are unfortunately quite low. However, if you walk along the river to the right, you may find some pockets of deeper water to soak and wade through. We are all praying for some rain!)
- An outdoor bathtub to enjoy under the open sky whilst soaking in a relaxing warm bath
- A fully-equipped picnic basket to find your perfect picnic spot along the river
- Wraparound panoramic deck with BBQ, designer outdoor furniture, and sweeping valley views
- Outdoor firepit for cosy nights and toasted marshmallows under a clear, star-filled sky
- Native wildlife on your doorstep – spot kangaroos, wombats, goannas, and a chorus of birdlife
The cabin will be exclusive to you and your guests for the duration of your stay. Self-check-in is available, allowing you to arrive and settle in at your own convenience.
We’ll leave you to enjoy the peace and privacy of Ashwood Aframe, but we’re always just a message away if you need anything. We’re happy to offer local tips, answer questions, or assist with anything during your stay — simply reach out via a message.
*Off-grid living*: Ashwood AFrame runs entirely on solar power, rainwater, and a septic system - but don’t worry, everything is designed for comfort, and with sustainability in mind, including backups for essential systems.
*Wi-Fi*: Starlink Wi-Fi is available, offering bandwidth stronger than city connections.
*Pets*: We welcome pets on a case-by-case basis. Please keep pets off furniture and clean up after them. We have fences fronting the river and a gate at the entry, but there are still other parts of our boundary that are not fully fenced. As we are surrounded by native wildlife, pets must be supervised at all times.
*Neighbours*: The Valley is also home to a lot of generations-deep local farmers and so we ask you pay your utmost respect to them, their animals and their property. The Valley can be quiet at night, and sounds can echo through the valley, so we ask you refrain from playing very loud music outdoors at night. Strictly no parties are allowed on the property.
*Sustainably built*: Every aspect of the cabin has been intentionally designed for comfort, quality, and sustainability in mind. We would love it if you treated the space as your own and helped us care for it, including keeping it clean before leaving, so it can be enjoyed for years to come.
