Take four steep steps up from the pavement to let yourselves into the three-storey retreat to discover it has a reverse-level design, with a twin bedroom, family bathroom and utility room at ground-floor level. The first floor encompasses an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a wooden floor and painted stonework and where you can unwind in front of a good film on TV. There is ample space to prepare meals for your party and to sit down to dine together. Open the French windows in here on to the garden on summer days. A super-king-size bedroom and en-suite shower room are on the floor above. Make the most of your outside space for summer breakfasts in the sunshine and evening relaxation over a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Parking for this property is in pay car parks within 100 metres.
Stroll 200 metres to catch the ferry across the river to Bodinnick. Walk 0.5 miles along the river to Fowey Aquarium or 1 mile to the beach at Readymoney Cove. Follow the South West Coast Path from Readymoney Cove to enjoy a scenic 1.5-mile walk along the cliffs to Polridmouth Cove, where there are two sandy beaches that are joined at low tide. Visit the Eden Project, 6 miles away, to see its biomes housing a range of exotic plants.
