Historic Home
This is a lovingly preserved 1955 antique mountain lodge. With that charm comes character—uneven floors, original details, and unique architectural elements you won’t find in modern construction. We ask guests to enjoy the home respectfully so it can continue to be appreciated for years to come
Fireplaces & Fire Features
The home features two indoor fireplaces, an outdoor stone firepit with grill rack, and a restored historic chiminea. Detailed instructions are provided, and guests must follow all fire safety guidelines. Fires must never be left unattended and may be restricted during certain weather or fire-ban conditions
Seasonal Game Room
The game room is located in a converted garage and is available seasonally due to temperature variations. While it’s a fun bonus space, it is not climate-controlled like the main house
Mountain Setting
The property is surrounded by woods and nature. Guests may encounter wildlife, insects, or seasonal debris—this is part of the authentic mountain experience
Winter Travel
During winter months, 4WD/AWD or snow tires are strongly recommended. Roads are maintained but conditions can change quickly in mountain weather
Outdoor Amenities Are Weather Dependent
The screened-in porch, outdoor seating areas, firepit, and chiminea are subject to seasonal and weather conditions and may not be available during extreme weather

Split Rock is a residential mountain community. Quiet hours are strictly observed, and the home is best suited for guests seeking relaxation rather than parties or events
No Events or Large Gatherings
To protect the home and respect neighbors, events, parties, and large gatherings are not permitted
Grill & Firepit Use
Guests are responsible for cleaning the grill and firepit after use. Firewood and starter materials may be limited or seasonal. There is wood for sale at local hardware stores or Mt Pocono shopping center
