“The Stay on the Square” Loft Apartment is perfectly located right on the Square in the Heart of Historic Downtown, McKinney. Nothing like being in the center of everything with direct access to coffee shops, bistros, boutiques, pubs, wineries, Farmer’s Market, events & festivals. Open floorplan with a wall of windows overlooking the Square. Ready to take a break, walk upstairs to the loft and enjoy the quiet.

We are available to the guest for serve their needs, but we are also respectful of their time and don't want to interrupt their stay.

Downtown McKinney, TX is a vibrant and charming historic district that is widely regarded as the one of the oldest and most thriving in the state. Centered around a classic town square, it blends preserved 19th and early 20th century architecture with modern energy, creating a welcoming spot that feels like a step back in time while remaining lively and contemporary.

The heart of downtown is the Historic Square, anchored by the impressive Old Collin County Courthouse (beautiful Beaux Art style building with columns and clock tower). The square is surrounded by brick-paved streets lined with restored Victorian and early 1900's era buildings, many featuring colorful facades, awnings, and a signage that highlight is heritage as a cultural district.

It's walk-able area packed with over 120 locally owned shops including electric boutiques, antique stores, art galleries, home decor spots and specialty retailers. There are over two dozen restaurants offering everything from casual eateries to upscale dining, wineries, and craft spots. The culinary scene is rising with live music, outdoor patios and events adding to the atmosphere.

The area is also known for seasonal festivals, farmers market, live performances, community events that spill into the streets and especially around holidays when it festively decorated.

There is a massage therapist in the building that can be hired for an additional fee and reservations are required.

Spacious living room offers a comfortable couch with chase lounge that pulls out to a queen bed. In addition there is additional chairs for expanded guest along with a 80" Samsung TV with many apps.

Bedroom offers a comfortable bed with high tread count sheets, ample closet storage with hangers and a WIFI TV with many apps.

Downtown McKinney Trolley offers a complimentary tour runs continuous loop along Louisiana Street, Virginia Street, Kentucky Street, Tennessee Street and Lamar Street covering parts of downtown, connecting parking areas to shops, restaurants, attractions and historic square.

Typical trolley operations are Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.. The full loop is approximately a 20 minute ride.

McKinney has one of the oldest, most lovingly preserved, and largest historic districts in Texas. The downtown historic district draws people from all 50 states and more than 90 countries to its nostalgic setting and its more than 170 unique shops, including art galleries, furniture stores, antiques, gifts, home décor shops, and apparel and accessory boutiques as well as other specialty shops!
