Good Luck Outpost is a midcentury home with a warm nod to the 70s, mixing retro flair, Western touches and modern comfort. It sits on 2.5 hillside acres in Yucca Valley with natural boulders and views, on paved roads with great cell coverage. Bright, open living spaces, a sunlit dining sunroom and a big game room make it a family-friendly base for groups, and three bedrooms, each with its own mural, share two bathrooms. Fire up the popcorn bar and let the tournament begin.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The in-ground pool and hot tub look out over mountain and desert views, good for sunrise swims or sunset soaks. The 2.5-acre hillside lot has open space and natural boulders for stargazing on clear nights. Gather around the gas fire pit, relax on lounge chairs or in a hammock, grill on the gas BBQ or play a round of horseshoes.



-Living Area-

The living area blends bright retro style with Western touches, including tongue-and-groove wood ceilings, high ceilings and large windows that show off the views. A large smart TV is set up for movie nights, and a record player with a vinyl collection and a popcorn bar add to the fun. The game room has speedball, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard and Skee-Ball. Please note that the fireplace is decorative and not functional.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully equipped kitchen has tile counters, an island and a breakfast bar, and it sits between the living and dining rooms. The dining area is a sunroom with a cactus garden and a daybed, filled with natural light. Coffee and sugars are provided.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Good Luck Outpost has three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a mountain mural, a smart TV, plenty of closet space and an ensuite bathroom with a large shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a rainbow mural. The third bedroom has a Star Wars-inspired space mural, a double bed and a twin bed, great for kids. The second bathroom, in the hallway, has a shower and tub combination.



-Surrounding Area-

Joshua Tree Village, La Copine, Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown and Joshua Tree National Park all make good outings from Good Luck Outpost. Yucca Valley has a relaxed, artistic feel, with cafés, boutiques and vintage shops.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

Good Luck Outpost is in a Yucca Valley community on a 2.5-acre hillside lot, with paved roads to the house and great cell phone coverage.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



The roads to Good Luck Outpost are paved all the way to the house.



Other Things to Note:

-HOA Guest Registration-

The HOA requires every guest to provide a valid government-issued photo ID before check-in for community access. Without it, entry may be delayed or denied.



-Hot Tub and Pool Care-

No fee to heat the hot tub! Please heat the hot tub with the cover on, and do not add hot water from the stove, as it will damage the hot tub. Please shower before and after using the hot tub and pool, rinse off oils and lotions, and keep pets out of the water. Keep the covers on and secured after use, and do not stand or sit on them. Children must be supervised at all times. An additional cleaning fee may apply if the hot tub or pool is left in poor condition.



-EV Charging-

A Tesla EV charger is available for guest use.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.



-Pool Heating Fee-

Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool.



► $350 first night, $200 each night after



During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage is available at the property, though reception can vary by carrier.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
