About this house rental
From the start, you'll notice this isn't just any rental, it's part of a real lake community. Guests are welcomed into the rhythm of lake life and invited to be part of the club, the Blue Spring Lake Club (formerly known to our past guests as Half Past Noon)! Where neighbors wave from docks, kids spend entire days in swimsuits, and time on the water is simply how life is lived. The home comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests, making it ideal for families, multi-generational stays, or a group of friends looking to reconnect without feeling crowded.
The heart of the home is the massive lake-facing deck, lovingly referred to as the uke deck. This is where mornings begin with coffee and calm water views, afternoons drift by with music and conversation, and evenings end with sunsets that never quite get old. Meals taste better outside, laughter carries farther over the lake, and there's always a breeze reminding you why you came. Just steps below, your private sandy beach makes it easy for everyone, from little kids to early-morning swimmers. Everyone gets to enjoy the lake on their own schedule. Fishing is a big part of life on Blue Spring Lake, and this home is set up to make that easy. The lake spans 136 acres, offering plenty of space for relaxed afternoons by the water. Whether you're heading out early to fish for panfish, largemouth bass, or northern pike, or taking a sunset cruise to wind down the day, lake access is effortless here. When the sun dips lower, evenings naturally gather around the fire pit, a favorite spot for s'mores, stories, and that peaceful quiet you only get near the water. Nights are calm, days are active if you want them to be, and there's a sense that nothing is rushed.
If you do feel like exploring, the surrounding area offers plenty! The Kettle Moraine State Forest – Southern Unit is nearby, with miles of trails for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing depending on the season. The Emma Carlin Trailhead, Nordic Trail System, Lone Tree Bluff, Ottawa Lake, and Carlin-Weld County Park offer everything from scenic overlooks to disc golf and sledding hills. History lovers can visit the Carlin House and Turner Museum, stroll through historic Palmyra, or explore Aztalan State Park, Wisconsin's first state park.
Families traveling with kids will appreciate nearby Rushing Waters for fishing and local village parks with playgrounds and green space. And when you're ready for more dining, events, or seasonal festivals, Fort Atkinson, Waukesha, Oconomowoc, and Lake Geneva are all an easy drive away. Still, most guests say the same thing: once you're here, you don't really want to leave. With the water just outside your door, space for everyone to gather comfortably, and the welcoming spirit of the Blue Spring Lake Club, this home offers the kind of lake experience people come back to year after year. This isn't just a place to stay, it's a place to settle in, belong, and truly enjoy lake life!
