Enjoyable but could have been better.

Was clean, amazing views. Good room sizes. Brilliant pools. Breakfast was fine and lots of choice.

Arcade room shut over the weekend. The spa was not open. The hotel was in a state of repair. Smell of dam from the ceiling as there was clearly a massive leak.

I would prefer Airbnb apartment in Marbella

We chose this hotel specifically because of the SPA area, the indoor pool, and the game room. These facilities were the main reason for our decision, especially as we were traveling with children. Unfortunately, all of these attractions were unavailable during our entire stay. Had we known this in advance, we would have chosen an Airbnb apartment in a different location, closer to Marbella, which would have suited us much better. We selected this hotel primarily because of the advertised amenities for children, and sadly, they were not accessible. As a result, the children were bored, and we also felt we would have preferred staying elsewhere. Additionally, during the rain, the hotel had leaks, and the staff were using pool towels to wipe the floors, which looked very unprofessional and raised concerns about the overall maintenance standards. The bathroom was poorly finished, with a clear lack of attention to detail. Some tiles still had visible construction dirt, which gave the impression that the room had not been properly completed or cleaned before our arrival. The food was average and lacked variety. Overall, we regret choosing this hotel. The key facilities that influenced our booking were not available, and the overall standard did not meet expectations, which significantly impacted the quality of our stay.

Nice value for money, but wishes for a better description and better food

Location is great! Entertainment for children was very nice if you are willing to stay up late. They have a kids club during the day and mini disco during the evenings, right before the other entertainment of they day like Flamenco, variety show, Bingo, etc. The outdoor pools are free, but too cold to swim in during December.

We had ants in the bathroom. The indoor pool is not free, and this is not explained in the description. It is a separate SPA and kids are allowed 12-16. Sauna and Steambath only work after 16 when the kids are out. I wished this was properly explained in the hotel description. Food is ok, but missing healthy options like more fresh vegetables outside of cucumber and tomatoes and some leafs. Coffee is not the best.

This hotel is being let done by the restaurant. We were premium guest but food was not. Cups with no saucers? Food was more like school meals. Coffee machine keep breaking down. There was not enough staff to cope They were really overworked but doing their best. There was also not enough staff in lounge in the evening

Food very repetitive and very little choice. Queues for hot fresh cooked food I.e omelettes fish fried eggs. Platters empty and very slow being replenished. Very short staffed long wait for drinks/coffees in bars. Lack of children’s entertainment in evening. We went for half term with 4 small children. They were very disappointed along with many other children. We ended up eating out most nights due to the poor quality of food and the wait to be served with drinks.

Simply superb!

Wow, what a great hotel. Perfect position by the beach and a short walk to the Marina as well as shops and beach restaurants. I have visited Benalmadena for the last 8 years or so but never stayed here. Cannot believe what I was missing out on. The pool area is amazing with plenty of sun loungers and loads of places to sit and relax. I stayed over a weekend with my Mum and my sister and it really was perfect. Buffet breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and again so much space. The Hotel is very big and my sister doesn’t like going in lifts. I requested a lower level floor which they immediately accommodated.

great facilities, location is very central. the breakfast buffet was very nice.

Check in from 3pm - when we arrived she told us 4pm and didn't even offer an apology. This is in September so I imagine not many people got to check in at 3pm during the summer. At 8am maintenance decided to start strimming a tree right below our room. The strimming lasted for about 15 minutes and then stopped - could it have waited until 10am? Asking for tea bags for the room I was made to feel like a second class citizen - only premium customers can get tea bags apparently, not 4 star behaviour. Evening entertainment is so loud you won't sleep before midnight, and strimming starts at 8am some days - great rest! Nice hotel but the small things lacking make it a 3 star, not a 4 star in my opinion.

Really Enjoyed This Hotel

I liked everyting about this hotel, it's huge but easy to find your way around. It's 2 buildings, but easy to know which is which and how to get to pools etc. Just go out the back gate and you are on a prom with lots of restaurants for food or just drinks. The rooms are a good size (if you want a Premium room, it's a Deluxe room on Booking.com). Premium is well worth it, beautiful roof top bar and pool area and the views are outstanding. Breakfast is good with loads of choice and a nice outdoor seating area (they also have prosecco for brekkie :) The hotel is very modern, with great decor. Nice that the pools don't open until 10am (lovely lie in), and there was little queing when we were there anyway. We didn't try the Spa but it looked great. We always ate out so I can't comment on the dinner, but the Marina is about a 5-6 minute walk down the prom, out the back gate.

The only one thing I cannot understand is how a hotel that was recently renovated and is so modern does not have SMART TV's or streaming services, we had one English news channel, CNN. Sometimes we just wanted to not go out and would have loved to have watched a movie (not on our small phones).

Renovated hotel with lots of gaps and issues

Food only, kitchen service is the only one working properly here.

Check-in done online but still had to queue and wait for 3 hours with a 3 year old to receive a very dirty room. Mini fridge burning and not cooling down the drinks. Small swimming pool should be exclusively for families with kids up to max 5 years old. Cleaning service is random and messy, room has never been hoovered neither before our check-in nor during our stay, they sometimes broom in premium rooms. Also balcony bar only wiped daily in the premium rooms. Bathroom was not cleaned before we checked in, hairs everywhere, toilet basin never washed or disinfected, not even after our several complaints. Any complaint or ask for support remains with guest's asking but nobody doing anything to fix or resolve promptly that complaint. It's nice staff does smile but when not getting our ask and complaints resolved that remains useless. Bell boy totally unhelpful and not allowing us to store the luggage after our check-out - reception also couldn't care less as they directed us to bell boy and off you go. I would not return here for the value received for 2.7k worth of 9 nights stay.

Fantastic room and view. Modern clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast buffet choice. Pleasant bar seating areas. A lovely rooftop bar with good prices.

No loungers available at the pool.. People are up early to queue for them! Poolside was muddy in places. Some staff cannot focus on one customer at a time so bar and reception delays were an issue. Blocked toilets and sink in bar not closed off....bit of an issue.

Ok hotel if you’re willing to forego luxury for the kids fun

The property was clean, can’t fault it there. Cleaners came made up the room mid morning well after breakfast. The back steps lead to the beach which was also handy.

I wouldn’t rate this as 4* at all! It was fine but if you’re expecting any form of luxury it just isn’t there. Breakfast is like a school dinner hall and the breakfast staff are so busy they’re almost rude but the food is ok - just the atmosphere! Communal toilets are ok, could probably do with being cleaned more regularly. The beds were extremely uncomfortable…neither of us slept a full night. There are a lot of rooms for the number of lifts available…constant queuing for lifts and when they come they’re usually full. If you want to charge anything to your room you have to carry a piece of paper with you even though you have a room key on your wrist (yes…they give you a wristband room key).

Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The hotel was ideal for us, across from the beach, close to shops and the beautiful marina. Cafes/bars in the hotel were reasonably priced and a great selection of food & drinks. Plenty of seating areas and plenty of sunbeds by the pool (of course we were there in May, not peak season). Pool big enough to cope with the guests; along with a good sized children’s pool. The 3rd pool was in a more quiet area which suited a different type of guests. I could not fault The Best Tritón. P.S when staff at check-in noticed we were a family having 2 rooms, they immediately looked up to rearrange rooms so that we would be side by side. Very thoughtful.

The only minor irritation was the lip on the body side of the wash hand basin…. You had to really bend over when brushing your teeth. How trivial is that!!!!
