Fabulous location, quiet and local

Nothing - well, just mosquitoes but that can't be helped!

A 10/10 on all counts. Absolutely wonderful place, brand new, well equipped and squeaky clean. The host was so kind and responsive that we could not have wished for more. The fact that we can take a bus all the way from the airport or Oistins directly to Speightstown makes this place extremely accessible even without a car. If you have a car it's even better, but it's good to know you don't need one. The apartment is one of 4 in a standalone building within a stone's throw of the beach. It is so nice to be able to see and hear the beach from the apartment, although that particular beach is very rocky and not so good for bathing. Within a 10min walk, there's a beach that's great for swimming, snorkeling and even for kids. There's also two food places just around the corner from the apartment, which makes it suitable for travelers who didn't rent a car. All in all we loved the place and would love to come back the next time we're on the island.

If there's one thing I would improve it is the bright lights that stay on all night outside. I know it is for security, but it makes the bedrooms very bright. It would be nice if the rooms had blackout blinds to mitigate this.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Everything you need fir self catering. Pauline our host was charming and always on hand should you need help/advice.

A car would be recommended although buses are frequent to Speightstown and on to Bridgetown. A good half hour walk into Speitestown but many buses pass should you wish to flag down for a lift.

Wonderful place to stay in Barbados. The apartment was clean, comfortable and large enough for our family. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Pauline is lovely and stayed in touch with us throughout our stay. There is parking available if you rent a car, and the bus stop is just a 2‑minute walk from the apartment.
