長浜ゲストハウスミカタ Guest House Mikata

Une guest house pleine de charme où tout est réuni pour passer un excellent séjour. Les chambres sont confortables et chacun dispose de son propre espace, avec également une pièce commune très agréable pour manger et discuter avec les autres voyageurs. J’ai particulièrement aimé l’accès au petit ruisseau, un endroit paisible et charmant où il est très agréable de prendre son thé et de discuter. Mais le gros point fort de cette guest house, c’est sans aucun doute Judo, l’hôte, qui fait vraiment tout son possible pour que ses voyageurs se sentent bien et ne manquent de rien. Il nous a notamment conseillé pour la fête d’Obon, que nous avons adorée, ainsi que pour les restaurants. La ville est elle aussi très charmante et mérite vraiment le détour. Nous étions venus notamment pour visiter le château d’Hikone et nous sommes ravis d’avoir choisi de faire une halte chez Judo.

J'ai tout apprécié dans la guest house. Ce qui peut sembler plus compliqué c'est de trouver un restaurant dans la ville :)

Judo, his amazing hospitality and lovely guest house were Prefect for my stay. Excellent location, right in the heart of Nagahama, right next to a small canal. It felt so peaceful and a Prefect spot to relax. Judo's accommodation, and his love for his city was unmatched, he is very passionate about his home and making sure his guests have a great time. I will be back here!

Minor gripe is that the walls between the rooms are paper thin (which was explained upon checking in) which did mean I heard the person in the room over snoring at night.

This guesthouse is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The location is amazing, right in the heart of historic Nagahama. One of our favorite moments was enjoying our meals on the terrace while watching the river flow by. It was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. Judo is one of the best hosts we have ever met. He took the time to sit down with us, explain everything about the house, recommend the best spots in the neighborhood, and every morning he suggested an itinerary based on our plans. If you stay here, make time in your itinerary to join one of Judo's tours around Nagahama. We stayed here for six days because it is the perfect base for exploring the Lake Biwa area. From here we visited Osaka, Kyoto, Hikone, the Hakodateyama Gondola, the Shizugatake Gondola, and many historic sites and battlefields from the Sengoku period. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. One of our daily highlights was taking an evening walk to Nagahama Castle to enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Biwa, and starting each morning with a run through the town. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
