Our lovingly furnished, non-smoking apartment, decorated in a country style, will quickly make you feel right at home. Dog-Sitting To allow you to enjoy winter sports (cross-country skiing, downhill skiing) or summer activities (city tours) alone, with friends, or with family, we offer a year-round dog-sitting service by arrangement. Ideal for animal and nature lovers and of course, families with children. Our horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens and fish look forward to your visit! Surrounded by an EU-protected cultural and biotope landscape with many hidden gems within easy reach: the Cultural Landscape Museum with the Bischofsreut Field Trail (e.g., the historic Wasserwies), the Golden Trail, a Kneipp facility, a fairytale forest with a renovated playground and numerous well-marked hiking and cross-country ski trails, including those leading into the neighboring Czech Republic. Due to its proximity to the border (Philippsreut border crossing for cars is 5 km away), our house offers an excellent starting point for day trips to the various historical sites in the Czech Republic, as well as for refueling, shopping and other necessities. As a truly special feature, we can offer you freshly caught fish from our nearby trout farm. You are welcome to help with the fishing and will receive expert guidance and information on the proper handling and animal welfare. You can then prepare the fish in the kitchen or on the grill in the garden – a sure-to-be-enjoyable and educational experience for children. About the area: Situated in a low mountain range with gentle hills at 910m, the area boasts beautiful, colorful summers starting in mid-May, with frequent cool nights (perhaps conducive to a good night's sleep). In winter, it's one of the most snow-sure regions, particularly well-suited for beginner skiers, families and seniors. Enjoy carefree nature with many unique features and tranquility far from the hustle and bustle. The apartment is suitable for 2-4 people and includes a combined living room and kitchen, a bedroom, a children's room and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen also features a rustic wood-burning stove that you can light yourself – there's plenty of wood available (on your private sun terrace). Pets of all kinds are welcome and horse stabling is possible by arrangement. Please note: there's a large pond and water feature directly on the property, so parents with small children should be aware of the need for extra supervision. The pond is very popular with our guests of all ages and adds a special touch to the property. We look forward to welcoming you!
