Voltage Lodge Collie

This is new accommodation in the centre of Collie and is very good value for money. We stayed in a King private room which had a lot of space and new facilities. Bed was very comfortable as well. The shared kitchen was fully equipped with latest appliances and good free coffee machine. Staff were very friendly. The accommodation is very new so there were a few hiccups with getting access to the venue. It is not staffed and can only be accessed by pin code which wasn't sent to us via Booking.com as they had hoped. They are trying to work this out but I called them and they sorted it out promptly for us.

Only problem was that sound carries a little from kitchen area to the rooms. Some guests weren't very considerate and made a lot of noise at 2am in the morning in the kitchen/shared area. There is a door between the shared area to the rooms and this wasn't closed so perhaps being closed would have helped a bit with the noise carrying. As mentioned above check in was a little confusing as we didn't get a code or instructions on how to check in before we arrived, but they are working this out. The outside of the accommodation looks like it was closed when we got there. It wasn't, it is just that it is not a staffed reception and self check in/check out is required with pin access to the key pad. Once in the building it is modern and relaxed. Would recommend and when we stayed it was very good value for money.

Clean & comfortable & quiet

Room doors shut too hard & are heavy Looked a bit dodgy from out side .

Fresh eggs were a bonus.

Some highway noise at night

Incredible facilities, shower is divine, bed is incredibly comfortable. I love the common areas, and how friendly everyone always is.

Nothing its always pleasant
