Tritara Apartment

The owner and workers are extremely kind. They picked me up from the airport and helped me bring my suitcases to my room. As a solo female traveler this was extremely helpful to me, as I was worried about taking all my suitcases alone or being scammed by taxis. I had their Whatsapp and could text them for everything. Kitchen facilities are as modern as is normal for Kathmandu— fridge, sink, a simple electric stovetop, and rice cooker. Can’t quite cook for a whole family but i was successful in cooking the basics. Silverware, plates, cups, etc. are provided. Bed is nice and clean, comes with a SmartTV to watch Netflix and stuff. The entire apartment is very clean. I never had any issues with bugs. AC is amazing and works wonderfully. I was able to run my AC all the time. It got hot in the summer so I treasured that AC. Bathroom is small, comes with mirror, toilet, and shower. The water does get everywhere because there’s no shower curtain but I was provided with shower shoes and bath mat! I get an individual key for my apartment, as well as a scan in digital key to get into the building. Laundry— The washing machine is on the roof, just one washing machine for the building tenants. Usually have to climb to the roof and do my laundry. However, there are outdoor clotheslines and pins up the next set of swirly gray outdoor stairs— which is even higher on the roof. If you don’t want to climb to the roof to do laundry, there’s lots of laundromats in the neighborhood. I liked doing my laundry on the roof because the view is beautiful. There is a cleaning service once a week, if you want it. The cleaning staff is very kind. I would just leave my trash outside the door of the apartment and it was always taken care of in a timely manner. Overall, this is a wonderful and safe long term stay for anybody. Great location in terms of walking distance (Thamel is across the street).

If you have mobility issues, do not book. There is one apartment on each floor and you will likely have to climb a few floors to your apartment. I enjoyed this, others may not. I also had to buy my own soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, and paper towels. I’m sure these can be provided but I didn’t ask.

Great place. Clean. Professional. It has a little kitchen. Just perfect.

Had one stray cockroach once. otherwise perfectly clean!

Binayak was an excellent host. Apartment was clean and well equipped.

We had a wonderful stay at Tritara Apartment. The apartment is very beautiful, spacious, and well maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with modern facilities and a nice balcony. The location is also convenient, making it easy to visit places like Pashupatinath Temple and other attractions in Kathmandu. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant experience
