I liked everything, no complaints.

The renters put a lot of thought into making this a well-appointed, well-designed, comfortable and safe place to stay. I even ended up liking the unusual light fixture above the bed which looks in the photos as though it could be too bright, but actually emits a subtle, warm light and is dimmable: perfect for late-night reading. The bed was comfortable (big plus!) and the bathroom was modern and clean. It was wonderful to be able to communicate with the owner, who gave very clear instructions about finding and accessing the property—I felt welcomed and safe.

I have no complaints, unless they’re for New Haven’s Department of Public Works (there’s a LOT of trash and broken glass on the street)—all the better that there’s a no-shoes house rule! I enjoyed being able to walk everywhere but this wouldn’t be a good place to stay if you are physically disabled or very sensitive to noise. A lot of people are into loud engines and loud music. (But Friday night was unexpectedly much quieter than previous nights, so maybe my weeknight experience was a fluke.) I didn’t feel like it would be a good place to walk around much after dark, but I wasn’t there for the nightlife so this wasn’t a problem for me.
