Flamenco Relax, bright and spacious on the beach

The living area is spacious and like the photos, The view is lovely, Spare loo rolls are provided The washing machine is great asset after a week of hiking It’s quiet The towels are fluffy (often a quality indicator) The light up/heated mirror in the bathroom, the bathroom is small but perfectly adequate. Be sure to use the coordinates provided to find the place as the photos are not entirely accurate and if you use the street name in google maps, you will go too far up the hill! We put the coffee machine on the sideboard to make more space in the kitchen and we moved the dining table into the window to enjoy the view.

The place had no reviews on booking, so I naively thought it was new or recently refurbished. However someone had stayed here in September and the review score was 7 (I probably wouldn’t have booked it with that score) I have learned a lesson. This is the first place I have booked through Booking where the photos have been manipulated, photoshopped, airbrushed or whatever the phrase is. The bathroom photo has had the shower enclosure removed; presumably to make it look bigger? The kitchen had been made to look shiny and new, when in fact it’s quite tired, the only work surfaces are the hob/stove top and the draining board. The whole place needs some TLC: The front door sticks on the floor when opened The bathroom door doesn’t close The loo seat has been replaced, but it’s loose and is either the wrong one or it’s been fitted incorrectly No light bulbs in the lamps over the sideboard Th cooker hood lights don’t work and the settings for the oven have been removed by over-zealous cleaning The kitchen equipment, as is often the case, is a mix of what remains from years of use. We had 2 wine flutes (no wine glasses), 1 small plate, a blunt vegetable knife (more dangerous than a sharp one in my opinion), no saucepan lids. The water glasses are small and there’s no water jug or carafe to keep cold water in the fridge, but there are 3 mugs (sometimes there’s not enough mugs for everyone) There’s a blind missing, which wasn’t a problem in October (we never used the air-con), the place isn’t particularly overlooked.

One blind was missing/broken so we had to hang a sarong as in the pic Make sure you get the instructions before getting there as they said they sent on BC but I had to chase the estate agent for access You do need to walk up a reasonable hill plus around 100 stairs so not for physically challenged
