Fantastic location with stunning views over the pistes and really convenient — 1-minute walk to the ski hire shop and lifts, and you can ski almost right back to the door. The nearby ski hire (Calafate) was excellent: friendly, efficient, offered a discount, and they keep your kit overnight so warm, dry boots each morning. There’s also a lovely bar/restaurant next door with welcoming staff. The apartment itself is very comfortable, with some of the best beds and pillows we’ve experienced. It’s fairly spacious, but especially the upstairs bedrooms, and easily accommodated our family of five—with potential for more if needed. The desk space in the bedrooms was a big plus for our kids studying for summer exams during the stay. The apartment also had a well-equipped kitchen, including a toastie maker, stick blender, electric juicer, Nespresso machine, and microwave (no oven). Both bathrooms had a bath and shower (over), with shampoo and shower gel provided. We’ve rarely found a ski apartment with a bath, so it was especially nice to enjoy a hot soak after a long day skiing.

The only downside was some noise from the street and ski hire shop below, including snow ploughs after heavy snowfall and music during the day. This was more noticeable as we spent more time than usual in the apartment, but may be less of an issue if you’re out skiing most of the day.
