The Sears Residence Siem Reap

1) The staff were great, especially the two young people at breakfast, they were exceptional. A pure joy and very helpful. 2) The breakfast’s were absolutely fantastic. 3) The hotel is new so everything works very well. 4) Location was great, easy 20 min walk to centre

1) Lack of soundproofing: Noise from adjacent rooms, both next door and above, was extremely loud at times, sounding like a herd of elephants. 2) Pool noise: We had booked one of the higher-priced pool rooms, but despite the pool hours being clearly displayed, they were not adhered to by guests, and the noise was not effectively managed by the property. As a result, the noise from the pool after 9pm was excessive. On one occasion, we had to complain twice, with the noise continuing until close to 10pm. 3) Wet room design: For a new hotel, the small combined shower/toilet wet room was disappointing and somewhat off-putting. The layout means that the toilet gets completely soaked whenever the shower is used.
