Apartment Wohnung mit Terrasse- Grill und Garten by Interhome

Het is een mooi, schoon en vrij nieuw appartement wat van alle gemakken is voorzien. Een heerlijke douche. Je loopt de doodlopende straat uit zo het bos in. Voor iemand die echt de rust zoekt en van de natuur houdt is dit een toplocatie!

Bij aankomst konden we de eigenaar eerst niet bereiken maar toen dat uiteindelijk wel gelukt was zijn we heel hartelijk en vriendelijk ontvangen.

The apartment is nice, well equipped and in a good location.

We booked on Booking.com and paid but didn’t have transparency about the additional charges that would be charged. There was just a generic disclaimer “additional charges may apply”. After many years of using Booking.com and having achieved their highest loyalty level, this was the first time that we weren’t aware of the final price at time of booking. The property was listed on Booking.com but is in fact managed by Interhome. This situation of 2 providers being involved created a great level of confusion and misinformation. In addition to this the communication to me didn’t work and the owner was provided with a system created non-functional email address, so, I didn’t receive their emails either. As a result: - I wasn’t aware that in addition to the paid booking price I had to pay € 40 for electricity, € 50 for admin fees, € 45 for cleaning fees and € 6 per bed for linen. - Later I discovered that the €45 fo cleaning had already been included in the Booking.com price, so it has been double charged. I have since been promised a refund. - Due to the communication break down caused by the platforms, my arrival time was never passed on to the owners and we spent hours in the heat waiting. Only with the kind help of neighbours we finally got connected to someone who could let us in. - Only then we found out about all the extra charges. - Instead of an apology we were then accused by the owner of having negligently ignored their instructions, which we had not received, and of having caused inconvenience and stress for them and the neighbours. In the meantime Interhome, through Booking.com, have acknowledged the double charge and the communication issues and have promised a refund and apologised. However, our stay and visit to family and friends has unnecessarily been overshadowed by great frustration and inconvenience.
