Een praktisch ingerichte, gezamenlijke keuken, nette en schone badkamer en uitstekende ruime (en schone!) gezamenlijke koelkast. De pensionhouder was erg vriendelijk en meedenkend; want met alle vertragingen die ik had met de eerste trein en daardoor alle vervolgaansluitingen op andere treinen, metro's en bussen bleef hij steeds contact houden hoe ver ik al onderweg was. Hij bood de praktische oplossing dat ipv de normale gebruikelijke persoonlijke ontvangst de kamer/voordeursleutel in een codekastje bij de voordeur zou liggen. Ik kwam uiteindelijk ver na middernacht aan en de sleutel kon ik zó pakken. De trap naar boven gegaan zoals de pensionhouder had verteld en ik trof een prima verzorgde kamer aan. Ik kon na een lange vermoeiende dag reizen met OV, meteen het bed in stappen om te slapen.
De zon stond aan de kant van het huis waar mij kamer was, in de ochtend meteen de op het raam. Jammer genoeg was er alleen een plissé vitrage en niet ook een (verduisterend) overgordijn/rolgordijn. Daardoor al vroeg licht, en ook al snel warm. Mijn slaapmasker was echter zeker een uitkomst.
