Caravan and studio set up for mountain biking

I thought the location was perfect. It's gorgeous off the back balcony staring into the forest. There's plenty of deer and it's, um, yeah, it's definitely private enough. Like there's neighbors, but you sort of forget they exist. And the studio itself is, um, yeah, spacious, comfortable. And the shower is fantastic.

Felt like we were staying in a comfy home /shack, not a space tarted up for paying visitors. We (2 fit over-60’s) really enjoyed our stay here. It’s spacious (especially for just the two of us), and the quirky arrangement of sleeping quarters in the caravan just outside the front door works just fine... and would be a plus if you are in a group with different ideas about sleep timing.. The double bed was really comfy. The main living area looks out into the tops of the trees, and the deck looks excellent for outdoor living (unfortunately we had rain / drizzle most of the time). Wood fire heats the place very well, with the portable finned radiator keeping the warmth going when there was no fire. The very large table would be great for bigger groups. Access is quite steep on the driveway slope, so no good for those with mobility issues. When first driving in, turn the left 90 degree corner at the end of the entry road before looking for the number, as there is the same number (on the wrong street) just before that, that confused us initially. Entry and exit procedures all good, and great comms with the host throughout. It has the feel of being someone’s holiday house that was created very nicely over time (which I think it is), so it’s a much more welcoming and comfortable space - with human touches and evidence of a progressing family life - than the cookie-cutter designed, sparse and empty and soul-less stays I’ve experienced around the world. Currently there is no WIFI, but the mobile signals (Telstra based) though weak, were usable for the basic things. No chance of streaming movies, but reading the local community newsletter, mobile reception is a current problem in that region.

Driveway was slippery for entry when wet.

We loved the location - sitting on the deck made you feel in the middle of nature. Loved that there were options for parking in the driveway or next to water tank, which was easier as we don't have a 4x4. The bathroom was luxurious with rain shower head, bathtub and excellent water pressure. The studio is spacious and lovingly decorated. We enjoyed lounging and looking out onto the trees. Sleep space was situated in the caravan and was super comfy. The host provided excellent instructions and was responsive on messages throughout our stay.
