I had a great stay at the favela hostel. The place is clean, safe, and has a really friendly atmosphere. The manager Carlos speak English fluently and he’s incredibly attentive and always ready to help, he gives great advice and recommendations for activities around Rio, which made my trip even better.
I definitely recommend without hesitation. On top of that, they organize rooftop parties, which are a perfect way to meet people and enjoy amazing vibes with a great view. An unforgettable experience!

I liked that it had an amazing rooftop with good views and the beds have curtains and also how it’s right above an amazing restaurant
Depending on the night it could be loud because of music playing in the street but you can get used to it

Brand new property, hot showers, roof terrace, big lockers. Just off the main road of Rocinha no need to get a moto, easy to get to. Friendly staff
Rooms could be cleaned more often, not sure if it was because of the carnival but bathrooms and kicthen in females dorm was messy. Only saw someone to come change the beds but not actually clean the room.
