Although I was a little concerned about safety since it was in Nishinari Ward, Osaka, there was actually no problem at all. The train station was about a 5- to 10-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The room felt like an old house that had been renovated as cheaply as possible, but for us, since we are not into luxury, it was more than enough. Maybe it was because of an opening promotion, but staying there for under 10,000 yen for five people was incredibly cheap. The only issue was that a group of students, or at least what seemed to be a group of students, who had rented the first floor, were unbelievably noisy until late at night, to the point that it was hard to sleep. That said, I am not sure it was really the owner's fault, so it is a bit of a gray area. The place had been cleaned reasonably well, but there was someone’s hair on the bed, and the area by the window was a bit dusty. Still, as I said, considering how cheap it was, I felt that could not really be helped. By the way, I never met the owner from beginning to end. The only communication before check-in was instructions for the key box to enter the room. I did not really care, though.
