The way it was handled the check in. I didn’t feel welcome

Good location, nice design and a nice facility. The bed was way too small, but very comfortable. The host was very nice, although we had problems later and it wasn't hamdled well. Money issues.

The handeling of the money. We needed to pay cash, so first the exchange rate from USD to.pesos, making you pay much more. We are in the DR, why do you calculate in $ and the rob me by using a ridiculous exchange rate to pesos? The host sent her friend to pick up the cash, who refused to give me a receipt or take a picture of the cash as proof that I paid. He was litterally saying "I am not doing that".and trying to walk away. Didn't stop until I said I was calling security. Very.rude and I didn't trust this one bit! I highly recommend any one to only work with the host directly. This friend is not to be trusted. But really, a host should never leave this to a friend. The apartment wasn't very clean, mold on the cutting board, wooden spoons and on the wooden table. Everything in the drawer got moldy because of this. They offered extra cleaning, but that just eats up.your time (you need to be home for when the cleaning lady comes). An apartment should simply not have these types of issues upon arrival. Ants everywhere, so many ants. We needed to clean the floors. The bed was supercomfortable, but too small for 2 people and you cannot be taller than 1.70m.. The bathroom is tiny. There was no fan, altho the host provided one, which was very nice of her. The lights were not working in the livingroom, they fixed it... but again, took time out of our holiday and should be fixed when you go in. Preventednus from being able to cook, due to lack of lighting in the evening... Overalll the apt was too small for 2 persons with suitcases, it is more a weekend stay where you plan to be outside all day and bring just a small bag. You have no place to put your stuff.

The hostess (Yolanda) was outstanding throughout my stay from check-in to check-out. She was there ti meet me at the property and made check-in simple, smooth and quick. Everything in the apartment was very clean, fresh and comfortable. The location is great with easy access to restaurants, shops and the beach. With so much nearby, the area is very safe and the locals are very welcoming for tourists. Great spot for singles and couples
